Approximately 16,000 people call the town of Clemson, SC home throughout the year. However, that population more than doubles as the summer fades and over 19,000 students return to the university campus for the upcoming school year. On football game days, the population in Clemson skyrockets to one of the highest in South Carolina. Just one of their seven annual at-home football games can generate almost two million dollars in gross income throughout the retail and hospitality industry in Clemson, according to the Clemson Chamber of Commerce.
