Reade joined Avison Young in 2022 as VP - Debt & Equity Finance. Reade has specialized in commercial real estate finance since 2011 with his focus and experience spanning across Western Canada's primary and secondary markets.

Spending the previous 9.5 years at a Schedule 1 Canadian Bank, Reade was responsible for origination, structure, and the management of a diverse loan portfolio. From initial loan review through to repayment Reade's skillset as leader and trusted advisor has helped him earn a successful transactional track record amassing over $2.4B in financings.

Reade strives to be a creative problem solver and relationship focused advisor. He aspires to balance each stakeholders interests in order to ensure each financing provides an immediate solution and enables long term relationship building across capital partners and borrowers. With deal experience across all asset classes, Reade also has a depth of knowledge in the areas of construction and interim financing. He posits that arranging the right relationship amongst borrowers and capital partners will encourage the long term success of all parties.

Outside of real estate finance Reade enjoys exploring the mountains across BC and Alberta on his mountain bike and backcountry skis. He is fortunate to have two young daughters and a wife that share his enthusiasm for nature, and he takes pride in coaching them in team sports, skiing as a family, and cheering for the Oilers together. As a lifelong hockey player, Reade also believes that resiliency and thoughtful hard work set the foundation for an effective team based approach to real estate finance and raising a young family.

Brian serves as Vice President of Debt & Equity Finance at Avison Young, bringing over a decade of experience in commercial real estate financing across Western Canada and Texas in both primary and secondary markets.

In his role, Brian specializes in structuring tailored debt and equity financing solutions across various asset classes, including industrial, multifamily, office, and retail properties. His expertise spans land and development, construction, acquisition, repositioning/bridge, and takeout financing. He is committed to leveraging his deep industry knowledge and Avison Young’s integrated services platform to help clients achieve their real estate investment goals.

Honesty and straightforward communication are central to Brian’s business approach. Before joining Avison Young, he spent over 13 years at one of Canada’s largest private real estate lenders, where he was responsible for originating and structuring debt and equity investments while managing a portfolio of loans for the firm’s top clients.

Outside of work, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. His hobbies include playing hockey, golf, mountain biking and skiing in addition to coaching youth sports.

With 15 years of valuation experience across a diverse range of property types—including shopping centres, development land, office, retail, industrial, and multi-residential properties—Steven brings a deep understanding of the commercial real estate landscape.

As an accepted expert at the Supreme Court of British Columbia, Steven has provided testimony and analysis in complex litigation and arbitration matters. His extensive experience in dispute resolution has honed his ability to assess risk, interpret financial and market data, and present well-reasoned arguments. His ability to analyze complex financial scenarios, communicate effectively with stakeholders, and navigate negotiations ensures he can structure optimal financing solutions that align with both investor and lender objectives.

Having worked extensively in Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley, as well as emerging markets on Vancouver Island and throughout British Columbia’s interior, Steven has developed a strong network and a comprehensive understanding of regional market dynamics—an invaluable asset in sourcing and structuring competitive financing solutions. His deep knowledge of both valuation and debt financing makes him a trusted advisor in the commercial real estate sector.

Outside of work Steven enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter, and 2 dogs. When he manages to find spare time, Steven likes to enjoy the outdoors with hobbies such as skiing, mountain biking, paddle boarding, photography and any form of competitive sport.

Ian joined Avison Young in January 2024 as a Financial Analyst with the Debt and Equity team in Vancouver. His key responsibilities include underwriting loan requests, performing financial modeling, and supporting the Debt team's pipeline workflow. Ian graduated with distinction from the University of Victoria, where he earned a Bachelor of Commerce degree with an Entrepreneurship specialization. He also gained valuable experience through 18 months of co-op work and an exchange semester in Prague, Czech Republic.

Ian is an avid Calgary Flames fan who loves watching them win. When victories are less frequent, he enjoys spending time outdoors, including camping, hiking, biking, skiing and playing tennis. He also values meaningful time with family and friends, often engaging in fun activities like wagering on otherwise friendly activities.

Medium-Density Development Site | Greater Capital Region

- Secured high-leverage financing for a 350-unit, two-building apartment project.

- Structured with a VTB to achieve over 80% loan-to-cost.

- Arranged short-term land acquisition financing for a 2.5-acre site in Surrey.
